Have you ever had one of those days when things just aren’t going right? You are headed out the door in the morning and you spill that bottle of juice on the floor, now you are late for work because you have to clean it up. It could be that you finally got out the door on time, now you are stuck in that traffic jam causing you to be late for work.
I am sure as a mother whether working Full-Time, Part-Time or being at home with your children, it is something most have experienced. I know all of these wonderful things (sarcasm) has happened to me during my time as a Full-Time working mom and even now working Part-Time. (I actually spilled my pineapple juice the other morning..smh).
It are times like these that I think about the one day my 4 year old son made all of the stress of my hectic day just melt away. He almost brought me to tears this one evening when everything just seemed to be going awry. My son must have picked up on the stress that I was experiencing that day…and he says, “Mommy, Today is a New Day!” It felt as if time stopped! As I sat there taking in the words he had said, I could have cried. He had actually been watching Chicken Little, a couple days before and heard the saying, but the fact that he used it when I needed to hear it the most. It was like God spoke to me through my Little Angel! It was an experience that I will never forget and always brings a smile to my face.
Please feel free to share any moments when your children have said The Sweetest Things to you that made all the stress of the day melt away!
