Today, I am not going to write about my fun loving children and the sweet things that they do or say, but today I want to write about something that touched my heart last night. Before I went to bed, I watched a video clip that is an internet sensation, about the homeless man with the “Golden Voice”. Wow! Instanly, the video grabbed my attention and I was touched! This man’s life has turned around for the better so quickly, because he had the hope and faith that something would come of him standing in the middle of the road holding that sign. The fact that someone would even stop to give him the time of day and actually put it out for all to see. This video has had more than 8 million hits and probably growing as I write this.
Maybe this story touches my heart so because, I am the daughter of an alcoholic and I have seen, experienced and still feel the effects of what it does to the individual and their families. Maybe it touches me because I know what it has to feel like for his 92 year old mother to see him on the straight and narrow. Maybe, because it is just an amazing story. Whatever the case…This story is just amazing to me and to know that after so many years in the depths of despair that you have that little ray of hope and faith in God that things will turn around…that you will get another chance to live your life. To see Mr. Williams get another chance to get it right, is just the sweetest thing! Check it out if you haven’t seen it yet!
