Have you been shopping yet this Spring? I have had the chance to head out early this year to find pieces to freshen up my wardrobe and I have found new ways to save along the way. When you enjoy clothes, shoes, jewelry and more it can add up quick!
I have learned to stretch my dollar and fill my closet for less. So, here are some simple tips that you can start with:
1. Wait for the Sale! You know that feeling you get when you really want THAT special outfit that looks good on you?! If the item is full-price, ignore IT! Walk away and keep an eye on it, waiting for the sale. Sign up as an e-mail subscriber, so you can get Sale notification sent right to your inbox. Visit the retailer on Facebook. A lot of retailers post special discounts just for their followers. Also, you may notice that sales are better during the weekend, so if you can it is best to wait.
2. Chat it up with the Cashier!! Have you ever had a conversation with the cashier? I was chatting it up with a cashier during my purchase and just happened to ask, “Do you have any sales or discounts happening today?”. She replied with a surprising, “Yes, actually we do!” So, she pulled out a coupon from behind the counter and I saved over $50 on my purchase, just for being friendly with the cashier. Ask and you just might get a nice surprise.
3. Coupons & Rewards!! Don’t under estimate the power of the coupon! Did you know you can get coupon codes for places like JCPenney and Macy’s? Check them out here at coupons.com! Pay attention to Rewards…If you shop at places like New York & Company, Old Navy and Kohl’s you may earn rewards to use at a later date! We did some spring shopping for our family at Kohl’s and earned enough Kohl’s Cash to come back and get a Keurig for only $12. Yes!! It was a great deal!
Have you ever used any of these strategies to stretch your shopping budget? I hope you have found these tips useful and come back next week to see what great fashion pieces I have found!
