This morning as I reflect back to 2010 when I wrote this post, Seasons Change, I find myself in another Season of Change. Today, instead of writing about the challenges of being a Full-Time working (social worker) mother of two younger children ages 3 and 5, I write about the joy of finding a Full-Time job after being without one for more than 8 months. *boy I never knew I would want to work so bad*. This past year I have had a chance to experience motherhood as a Stay At Home Mom, Part-Time working Mom and now a Full-Time working Mom. It has been a roller coaster ride but one that I am thankful I had the opportunity to experience.
Since, our move in August 2012, I loved that I had a chance to get settled in and spend more time with my boys. After all, most of their beginning years were spent in the car driving from home to Day Care and back again. They seemed to be in the car and Day Care more than I had them at home. Now, they are both in grade school (1st & 3rd grade), which is within walking distance and after school care is just a 5 minute drive away. The commuting aspect of being a working mother has improved tremendously and them being older makes it a bit easier as well. As our schedules begin to change again, I look forward to coming up with ways on how to make it all work.
Are you a new my getting back to work? Have you recently changed from being a Stay At Home Mom to Full-Time working mom or vice versa? How are you feeling about your “Season of Change”
