Did you start a new workout plan this year?? I definitely did and think that I am actually on to something. This new year has brought on a new workout plan for me that includes:
–Jillian Michaels – 30 Day Shred (started before the new year)
-Running outside (my preferred activity) If I am being realistic with myself, I know I am not going to get out there and run in the cold.
-Yoga Classes (plan to start in the next week or so…)
Now, that I am working Full-Time I do not have the time and/or energy to invest in my main fitness workout that I did last year when I was home, Insanity and running. I loved it and I actually saw results, but now I just don’t have the juice to commit. What I love about my new plan is that it combines 3 different types of workouts.
-The 30 Day Shred, which by the way is working out great, combines cardio and weights. Each level is only 20 minutes long.
-Running is just something I have always done as a Field Hockey player. This is another workout that involves cardio and everything else. I also love challenging myself to go faster and further!
-Yoga is the relaxation/meditation/stretching piece!
I believe putting all of these pieces together will help me achieve my goal of fitness and strength. Now, the plan is to run at least 1 time per week and do a combination of the other workouts at least 3 times a week. For a total workout goal of 4 times a week! I can do it right…LOL! Well, you can see how I do by following my fitness workout journey on Instagram! I challenge myself to post a pic or something motivational each day I workout. It is fun and keeps me motivated.
