How are you today? I am actually feeling pretty good this morning. Maybe because I woke up on the ride side of the bed. Really, I think it is because I got up this morning in enough time to get the kids ready and walk to school. This mornings weather felt so good, the walk was refreshing:)
The other day I was not feeling so great. I had just gotten an e-mail, not a call, from someone I had just interviewed with recently. This person let me know “without” letting me know that I did not get the position. I was thinking, well gee thanks. So, of course I went into frustration mode and knew I did not want to stay there because I believe that everything happens for a reason. At this point in my life God’s purpose for me does not include that position I “thought” I wanted.
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” – Ecclesiastes 3:1
What do you do when you are frustrated or disappointed and need to get out of a slump? Most times I listen to music. Before we moved I was on the Praise Dance team and found that was a great outlet for me. The combination of music, dance and praise is uplifting. Now, that we have moved and I am not working or on the Praise Dance team, I was moved to do something else, pick up a book. I love to read and was pleasantly surprised at how much I missed reading. Reading is a great escape and in this instance motivating. I am reading, You Are Your Choices: 50 Ways to Live the Good Life, by Alexandra Stoddard. Funny thing is, I do not even remember where it came from:)
This book is just what I needed and I can’t wait to share the many things that I have gotten from this book over the coming weeks.
Have a Great Day and a Blessed Week:)
Thanks for reading!
