As I sit down to write this post, I am just finishing my “last” splurge meal before the challenge. Yes, one of my besties and I have agreed to weight loss/get fit challenge.
We have agreed to a 10 week challenge and the “biggest loser” will get treated to a fabulous pair of shoes of her choice! We are both into fashion and love shoesJ
I am excited, because I have been wanting to get back in shape for the longest time and this is just the motivation I need.
Want to know what are plan is?
We are going to do a 10 week challenge with check-ins every 2 weeks. My goal is to lose at least 3 lbs. every check-in. I have learned from previous challenges and goals that if I ask for anything more I will just be setting myself up for disappointment. Although I would like to lose 15 lbs. by the end of the challenge I am more concerned about getting fit and making healthy choices.
What do you use to track your fitness progress?
Since, my main fitness activitiy is running I use Map My Run. It is a mobile app that a friend told me about and I love it. Before, I used to run the neighborhood for a predetermined amount of time and had to come home and use google maps to see what distance I ran because I lost my tracker. Now, with May My Run I get to see my distance as I go, because it has GPS. To make this app even better, you can also keep track of your weight and meals. They even have apps called, Map My Fitness and Map My Walk.
