Do you enjoy grocery shopping? How about watching the total go lower and lower at the checkout register? Then you will find the 3 tips I am sharing very useful! I have a plan in place that I have used over the years but just have not been consistent with, so I am setting out to make that a goal this year! I know if I use these steps consistently I will save my family money and you can too!
Make A List – It all starts with the list. Start making your list a week ahead of time, to prevent missing items and having to run back to the store. Ask other members of the house what they need, this will also prevent multiple trips to the store each week. Ultimately, saving you time, gas and money!
Grab Your Coupons – Do you “clip” coupons? I do! I can remember watching my mom “clip” and use them for each shopping trip and it has stuck with me throughout the years. The reason you need to write your list first is to prevent the coupons from guiding your shopping trip. I have noticed, that when I look for coupons first I end up with things that I do not need but got just for the deal. I get me printable coupons from coupons.com and my paper coupons from the inserts I get in the mail.
Money Saving Apps – There are many money-saving apps out there to save you money at the grocery store. My #1 app is Ibotta. Have you heard of it? The first time I heard of it was on Good Morning America and have been using it ever since! You can earn rebates on things like Groceries, Health and Beauty Products and Apparel. All you have to do is upload a copy of your receipt and scan the product code and submit. It is a very easy process and I to have earned $23.50 to date. There is also a coupons.com app that I use to clip and print coupons.
